Meet Jordy

What I’ve always enjoyed about building is the hands-on work and figuring things out as I go. I started my carpentry apprenticeship in 2012 and have since established my own business and become a licensed builder. Seeing a family enjoying a space I’ve helped create is still one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

As a dad to two young children, I understand how much a home needs to do. Family life has taught me patience and organisation, which carry through to how I work: keeping clients informed, following through on commitments and taking pride in the details.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my family at the beach or camping up the coast. I also love a surf and watching the footy whenever I get the chance.

I engaged with Jordy from Luma Projects in the year 23/24 for a 18 months complete renovation on my home in Cooks Hill. I found Jordy to be genuinely invested in the renovation, on time, honest worker with very good knowledge and building skills of his trade for a young man.

His communication skills was excellent and when he thought the project could be tweeted for a better outcome he was often right. I have since recommended Luna Projects to friends which have used Jordy and have also passed his name on to theirs friends on smaller projects. We have undertaken several renovations in Sydney and Melbourne over the years, and this major renovation to our 'forever' home in Newcastle was a real challenge given that we had scheduled a 5 week holiday before committing to the work.
